This floor stand is the standard model and is manufactured by highly skilled local craftsmen using premium American Red Oak and Canadian Maple.
The bolster cradle support assembly (top section) of the bobbin lace floor stand can be adjusted for working heights of 28", 29", 30", 31" or 32"as measured from the floor to the top of a bolster cradle and a 7” diameter bolster.
The floor stand base assembly measures 8" x 13". It is hollow with a heavy bottom panel. The base assembly may if necessary be partially filled with clean dry sand to provide additional stability. This is seldom required.
For a more pleasing appearance, floor stands and bolster cradles of matching materials and finishes should be ordered at the same time.
Several coats of a durable finish are applied to enhance and help protect the natural wood. The finish will not rub off or stain any fabric that it might come into contact with.
A booklet of assembly instructions is included. Assembly is easy and no tools are required for assembly or un-assembly.
