The deluxe and standard models are manufactured by highly skilled local craftsmen using premium American Red Oak and Canadian Maple.
The base assembly of each bobbin winder is 9" long, 4" wide, 3/4" thick and have soft vinyl foot pads.
The deluxe model features a base with classic chamfered edges. The standard model features a base with only slightly rounded edges.
The deluxe model features a six segment drive wheel with spokes. The drive wheel is 5" in diameter, 3/4" thick and is attached with solid brass hardware.

Both models can be used to wind thread on most styles of bobbins with or without spangles.
The oak grain is slightly filled and several coats of a durable finish are applied then hand polishing is employed to enhance and help protect the natural wood. The finish will not rub off or stain any lace or thread that it might come into contact with.
Both models come with a matching thread spool holder. The base of each thread spool holder is 2" by 2" by 1-1/2". The spool pedestal is 2-1/2" tall and 1/4" thick and will handle most spools of bobbin lace thread.
Both models come fully assembled ready for use.
